My little girl turned five two days ago, April 17th.

She is growing up so fast it makes my heart hurt to just think about it. We are going to have a keg party for her this weekend…;)

All Grown Up

Look at her…all grown up.

Days of Our Lives

I have a question for my readers out there. Have you noticed that the price of gas, groceries, utilities, and I’m sure that I’m missing something else, have all gone up in the past three months? I know that there has been a slow and steady increase in price over the past two years. But it sure has become noticeable to me lately.

When does it stop?

Will it ever stop?

When will salaries increase to match inflation?

Am I just dreaming to think that pay will match the cost of living in the United States? I pray that we can just get a little closer to the cost of living. Living pay check to pay check is not fun but it has become a way of life for me. Every day I hear somebody else complaining about the pay versus the cost of living. I hear “pay check to pay check” entirely too much these days. In the middle of the month I’m thinking about what bill we can hold back and send late just so we can float into the first of the next month…haha. I bet you haven’t heard or done that before…haha.

I was talking to Mari the other day about some of this and she straightened me out. She said that no matter what, we should look at our blessings and not our problems (bills). She said we have a roof over our heads, food in the pantry, vehicles to get us where we need to go, two wonderful children, and each other. I wanted to grip some more but how do you argue with that. Once again she is right. It never ceases to amaze me how she can stay on the positive side of life.

Anyhow, let me hear your thoughts about these days of our lives. The cost of everything versus the salary that we get paid.
