End of Baseball Season!

Baseball season has finally ended for my kids. They had a great time playing and they loved getting their trophies. We, as a league, went all out for the kids this year. We had an opening ceremony, trip to the Rockhounds game, Closing ceremony, and a pool party. We had a great group of people on the board this year for sure. And we had several parents that went above and beyond the call to help with all the odds and ends that came up. I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to work with. Amazingly everything went smooth this year.

Zack turned out to be an outstanding catcher for the Indians, I was very impressed with his performance and his willingness to give it his all. He made several throws to second base and third base as a catcher and made a few outs doing it. And he had a few tags for outs at home. He hardly ever missed the ball as catcher. Very good job Zack, keep it up.

Zoe, she was in her own little world when she was on the field playing, haha. And I don’t think that little world involved baseball. She had a great time playing and she was always tying but I don’t think it has clicked for her yet. She did make some stops and some good throws to the pitcher and she can hit the ball, off the tee mainly and a few from the coach pitching. She was more interested in getting the trophy than anything else, ;)

All in All it was fun for us and for my kids and there is no way that I could have done any of this without the help of my wife, Mari. She was a major part of all the practices, games, and league events.

Family Update

My family has been doing very well since we have moved back to Roscoe. We have been back a little over two years now, man, time sure flies by.

Zack loves it, he has tons of friends and he is always outside playing, riding bikes, and whatever else he can get into. Back in Midland Zack never really played outside much. His friends were scattered all over town so he didn’t have anybody close to really go and play with in the neighborhood.

Zoe was too little to really do much of anything while we were in Midland. But now she is always playing in, out, and around our house. Everybody knows her and they love to play with her. I think she is going to love growing up here, I know Zack will.

Both of them have been sick the past few days…high fevers and such. But they should be ok. Mari has accepted a new job, or challenge really, she will be working for the Highland school district next year teaching special ed. I’m very happy for her taking on this challenge. You will never know what God has in store for you unless you take a chance. Isn’t that called “having faith”? You have to have faith before you can take a leap of faith, right. Anyhow, I think she is very happy being back in her home town to raise her two kids.

Me…I love it here. I couldn’t wait to move away. Once we moved I couldn’t wait till we moved back. Funny how that works but I see the value in our lives here. Happiness is worth it and I thank God for guiding us back everyday.

Finally, I fixed my blog. I haven’t received any spam and it has been three days now…WOW. I added an authorization image to the post comment page. I had to do a complete reinstall of PHP to get it working but it was worth it. Usually in a three day time span I would have had at least 30 spam comments.

Now

SPAMMERS CAN KISS MY A$$!

And everybody else can comment away and I don’t have to worry about cleaning all that crap out.
