Yep, It’s Monday Again.
2008
You got it, it’s Monday once again. You could look at it as a negative thing but I’m trying to take the positive approach. We get to start another week.
The parenting class is coming along nicely. I’m really enjoying it so far. Last night it seemed like everything that we went over that we shouldn’t be doing is exactly what I’m doing. How funny, when you think your doing somewhat of a good job as a parent you find out that there is still a long road ahead and that there are several areas that you can do better in. I need to listen to my kids more and I need to keep my anger in check. Kids can bring out the best in you and sometimes the worst in you. As a parent we just have to figure out the best way to handle each child. They are all different and I don’t believe that there is a simple answer on how to raise them. There isn’t a “Staples Easy” button when it comes to parenting. I’ve got a long way to go but I’m going to work on it so I can be a better parent.
As usual work has been very busy and my time just flies away faster than I can keep up with it. I’m going to take a few days off soon for my kids Spring Break. Zack and I are going to take a trip down to Lake Buchanan for some father son time. My dad will be joining us for some, hopefully great, sand bass fishing. When we get back from the fishing trip I want to do something crazy…I want to take Zoe, my daughter, out for a father daughter day. I say crazy because she will most likely want to go spend the entire day shopping. I’m not sure how I will handle that. Maybe I can talk her into doing something else, like going to the zoo or something similar. Who knows but I’ll give it a shot.
Highland basket ball is over for the year. The boys made it to the playoffs for the first time in eleven years, great job for the Highland boys. The girls made it right up to the state tournament, great job for the Highland girls.
