Well, it seems like forever since my last post. I’ve been active with my blog even though I haven’t made any new posts in a while. There has been an active discussion going on over an old post, Children. There was a comment made from a reader, Dave, that bothered me somewhat so I felt it necessary for me to explain. And there were a couple of other readers, Casey and Tracy, that felt it necessary to comment as well, thanks goes out to both of them for their support.

Anyhow, there has been a lot of life going on around here so let me catch you up real quick…haha, ya’ll know that there is nothing that I can do that is quick…[shameless little poke] except for you Dave, you don’t know me at all so I wouldn’t expect you to understand this…[end shameless little poke] So kick back and get ready for this quick summary.

Once again, I’ve been sick. For the past three weeks I have been battling what I have thought was sinus and allergies. Finally I broke down and went to the doctor Friday. Let me tell you, I hate going to the doctor. It never fails, I pay money for somebody to tell me that I’m fat and lazy. Hell, I can get that for free at home why should I pay for it, right. Just teasing you Mari. Other than him telling me that I was fat the visit went pretty good. The Doc said that I had bronchitis so he gave me a shot and a new type of anti biotic that has a list of side effects worse than the illness that I had…and most of the side effects came true. Anyhow I’m doing tons better now so something that I took worked or is working. So maybe I’ll be well enough soon that I can start back with my workouts and loose some weight, I still have my sense of humor.

Oh yeah, funny story, you should have seen the doctors face when I told him that I was checking my temp. when I got dizzy, fell down and broke the damn thermometer off in me. I told him how bad it hurt and that there wasn’t much blood. He right away wanted to know what type of thermometer it was that I used. He was thinking that there could be a chance of blood poisoning or something. When he asked me what type of thermometer it was I happily told him “it was an anal thermometer”, man, you should have seen his eyes, hahahaha.

Anyhow…moving on.

I am now finishing my first none smoking week. I’ll be posting updates on my weight and my success in not smoking. This way I’ll have a way to document my progress or failures.

I would like to let James and Mashala know that we are and will always be there for you two if needed. James, you, Mashala and your family are still in our prayers…God bless you and yours.

On a different note:
I’ll be emailing out some information about the next Nerds Unplugged get together very soon so keep an eye on your email, I’ll be looking for some input.
